process

How an engagement runs

Four steps, and what each side is responsible for. The projects that go wrong are almost always the ones where this was never agreed out loud.

You can walk away after the proposal, with the scope document in hand.

01

Discovery call

Twenty to thirty minutes. What you are trying to do, what already exists, and what done looks like. No charge, and no obligation at the end of it.

From you: Someone who knows the problem, on the call.

02

Scope and proposal

A written scope with deliverables, milestones, timeline and a fixed price. You decide with the whole picture in front of you rather than a number in an email.

From you: A decision, and any constraints we should have known about.

03

Build in visible increments

Working software at each milestone, not a status report. You see it running before it is finished, which is when changing direction is still cheap.

From you: One point of contact, access to the systems we need, and feedback within a few days.

04

Handover

Source code in your repository, deployed and documented, with a walkthrough for your team. Optional support after, as a retainer.

From you: The repository, and whoever will own it afterwards.

How we price

We publish the structure rather than a number, because a number before the scope is a guess. There are three ways to work with us.

Scoping sprint
Small, fixed and paid. It ends with a written scope, an architecture, a timeline and a fixed price for the build. You can take that document to anyone — including someone else. It is the low-risk way to start.
Fixed-scope project
A defined build against agreed milestones, at a price set before we start. Changes are quoted as changes rather than absorbed silently.
Monthly retainer
For ongoing work after launch, or for a team that needs consistent capacity. Cancellable with notice.
